About the role
We are seeking a Data Engineer to build and maintain our data infrastructure. You will be responsible for ensuring our trading and research teams have access to high-quality, reliable data while managing the pipelines that power our quantitative strategies.
Responsabilities
• Design and build scalable data pipelines for market data, alternative data, and internal data
• Implement data quality monitoring and validation frameworks
• Optimize data storage and retrieval for research and production trading
• Manage relationships with data vendors and evaluate new data sources
• Build tools and APIs for data access by research and trading teams
• Ensure data security and compliance with regulatory requirements
• Maintain documentation and data dictionaries
• Collaborate with quant researchers on data requirements for new strategies
Requirements
• 5+ years of data engineering experience, preferably in finance
• Expert-level SQL and Python skills
• Experience with big data technologies (Spark, Kafka, Airflow)
• Strong knowledge of time-series databases and data warehousing
• Experience with cloud data services (AWS, GCP, Snowflake)
• Understanding of financial market data structures and vendors
• BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Nice to have
